The Very Best Recipes of 2022

Top Recipe Collections, Too!

We always highlight just the top recipes in our annual Top 10 list. But, there were several of our showcase recipe collections that clinched top spots last year, too.

• You guys were big fans of our ideas for Baked Pastas with Ground Beef. I mean, who doesn’t love a homey, satisfying casserole, right?!?

• And clearly we all needed a lot of terrific suggestions for Christmas Potluck Appetizers. Cute, easy and festive (and – of course – a little healthier, too)!

• I already knew our THK readers were madly in love with air frying, so I wasn’t too surprised about your excitement over breakfast-y Air Fryer Egg Recipes. From classics like hard boiled and scrambled … to egg bites, quiche, omelets and French toast – you loved all the ways to fire up your handy air fryer, right from the first meal of the day!

• You were also gaga for all the summer side dish ideas I could offer up: Healthy Summer Cookout Sides, Side Dishes for Hot Dogs, and Vegan Pasta Salads were all big, big hits.

• And, just as my family needed alternative ideas for our multiple Thanksgiving celebrations this year, you guys also must’ve been searching for unique, non-turkey recipes, since the showcase of Chicken Breasts for Thanksgiving was hugely popular!

Cheers to You … Our Treasured Readers!

    • Hi, Annette! I don’t many have recipes specifically targeted for two people, but I do have some wrap recipes that can be made one or two at a time, which might work well for you, like our BBQ Chicken Wrap and Granola Crunch Apple-Peanut Butter Sandwich Wraps. I also have a LOT of recipes that I personally use to make a big batch and then portion out and freeze individual meals (since I work at home and eat many meals alone). I love choosing from different homemade “freezer meals” and pulling out whichever suits my fancy that day. A little trick I use: for things like soups and stews that are liquid-y, I like to spoon out a single serving into a zipper bag, seal it, and lay them each completely flat in my freezer. Once they’re frozen, I put them all together in gallon zipper bags (since they’re flat, they fit really nicely), so they all stay together and don’t get lost in the freezer. Just a few of the recipes I have that are great for this are: Easy Taco Soup with Ranch, Easy Black Bean Soup, Crock Pot Corn Chowder with Chicken and Bacon, and Crock-Pot Turkey Chili. Oh – and all our Energy Balls freeze beautifully for quick breakfasts or mid-afternoon pick-me-ups! Just portion out little baggies of those, too. Here’s a link to a where you can see all our Freezable Recipes. I hope that helps you! 😀 ~Shelley
