Green Beans with Balsamic-Browned Butter

This method for making Roasted Green Beans with Balsamic-Browned Butter extracts rich flavors by roasting the beans and incorporating a small amount of irresistibly tasty browned butter.

Perfect when you’ve got a bumper crop of summer beans, and also a healthier alternative to traditional green bean casseroles for the holidays.

• green beans • oil • salt • black pepper • almonds • butter • soy sauce • balsamic vinegar

Ingredients

Preheat oven to 475°F. Prepare a baking sheet by covering it with parchment paper.

1.

Arrange green beans in a single layer on baking sheet. Don't overcrowd them (use a second baking sheet if needed), or they won't roast properly.

2.

Spray beans lightly but evenly with cooking spray and then sprinkle with salt and pepper.

3.

Not all soy sauces are gluten free. If you're following a gluten-free diet, be sure to select a tamari-style soy sauce that is free of gluten, such as Kikkoman Tamari.
