Lightened-Up Pasta with Peas and Bacon

This healthy Pasta with Peas and Bacon recipe is quick, easy, and can even be partially made ahead! Flavorful and satisfying, it's a true family favorite!

IngredientS

– penne pasta – baby peas – water – turkey bacon – virgin olive oil – garlic – lemon juice – kosher salt – black pepper – parmesan cheese – fresh basil

Step 1 :  Cook pasta according to package directions, omitting salt and oil. To cook peas, either add them to the pasta pot in the final 1 minute of pasta cooking time.

Step 2 :  Add lemon juice, salt, and pepper to the garlic-oil and whisk to thoroughly combine.

Step 3 :  Add hot pasta and peas to the lemon-garlic-oil mixture and stir thoroughly.
