Carolina-Style Instant Pot Shredded BBQ Chicken Sandwiches

These insanely delicious, ridiculously easy Carolina-Style Instant Pot Shredded BBQ Chicken Sandwiches are an adaptation of our crazy-popular, beloved slow cooker recipe.

IngredientS

– apple cider vinegar – brown sugar – kosher salt – hot sauce – black pepper – chicken breasts – wheat buns – coleslaw

Step 1 :  Combine vinegar, brown sugar, salt, hot sauce, and black pepper in your Instant Pot's insert, stirring or whisking to combine.

Step 2 :  Close Instant Pot lid. Select Manual, High Pressure, 8 minutes.

Step 3 :  When cook time is completed, allow Instant Pot to sit for 10 minutes, and then manually vent to relieve any residual pressure, and open the Instant Pot.

Step 4 :  Remove chicken from Instant Pot and shred. Stir about 3/4 cup cooking liquid into chicken. Discard the additional cooking liquid, or reserve it.
