~ PB&J just got less messy (and totally portable!) A simple, fast, wholesome, no-bake snack bite that tastes like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich! Perfect for kids (and adults, too)! ~

We have some really exciting news. Like … we apologize now if our cheers and squeals hurt your ears.

No, really … we’re just sooo excited! (“And we just can’t hide it!” … Uh-huh … are you singing “I’m So Excited” in your head? ‘Cause we are!)

So … what’s the big news?

Well, we’re SO thrilled to share with you that we were invited to do a guest post (our very first ever!) for a food blogger that we both really, really admire! It’s seriously an honor!

Julia, from A Cedar Spoon, contacted us a few months ago and asked us if we’d be interested in writing a guest post while she spends some time with her gorgeous newborn son, Andrew. (And, of course, that’s got us just all excited, too – we’re so happy for Julia as she welcomes her second little guy into her wonderful family!)

At first we were a tiny bit nervous. (Julia’s blog is totally gorgeous and her recipes are delish … we’ve even featured her in our hot dips roundup!) But we got over that nervousness quick-quick and went right to work!

It didn’t take too long for us to decide that the recipe we created for Julia just had to be a Snack Bite recipe. In our little corner of the world, we’re amazed at how many times our friends tell us about how Snack Bites have saved their day.

It seems that people love these little gems of health and deliciousness for all sorts of reasons. They’re after-school, pre-soccer-game, post-workout, hectic-afternoon, and quick-on-the-way-to-work snacks. (Ummm … so, really anytime snacks.)

Since Julia already had a toddler at home, we knew the recipe needed to be something that he would love, too. And then it came to us …

Yes! Yes! That would be what we would share with Julia!

The quintessential childhood favorite, all rolled up in a neat-to-eat little bite.

We remember the days when our kiddos were teeny. When it came time for running errands (or running to playgroup) there was literally a 3.2837289-minute window once everyone was changed and dressed … to get out of the house. Otherwise, it was time for someone’s nap, or it was someone’s snack time, or maybe your energy was just zapped (well, actually that energy problem was kinda the norm …).

Introduce the PB&J Snack Bite.

  4. Congrats on the guest post, Shelley & Gretchen! Perfect choice to post these! I’m loving these kinds of healthy raw snacks lately.
    And for the record, I still eat peanut butter and jelly (well, we call it jam, but anyway …) at least a couple of mornings a week for breakfast. I love it! Sometimes you can’t beat a classic!

    • Lol, Nazneen! Neither of us is QUITE to the mega-melodrama stage, but it’s for sure fast approaching! Gahhhhh! And you … with three teenage girls at once?!?!?   5. I remember shopping with a teenager who usually experienced an energy crash well before the “fun” was over. There was always a wayward piece of candy in my purse that saved the day.
    A snack bite from THK would have been a better choice. These gems could also have helped avoid the inevitable sugar crash later.

    • What a cute story! Trust me … I am living this scenario myself! When we’re out shopping or having some sort of adventure, my normally sweet daughter sometimes slowly slides into a not-quite-so-sweet state … and all of the sudden I frantically realize, “Oh my gosh! Feed her!!!! Quick!!!!!” (even though she says she’s not hungry). Like magic, a little nutrition in her system and she’s back to being my lovely little girl again.     • Yay! Another PB&J lover! It’s just one of those things you never really outgrow, right?!? The one thing PB&J just doesn’t have going for it is portability (after having a lovely sandwich smashed in a briefcase or under the toys in your toddler’s bag … well, you start to put a premium on portability!).
