Summer is grilling season, right? (Well, sure … our friends in places like Southern California and the Florida Keys grill all year, but most of us can only dream of such smoky joy.)

And if summer is grilling season, we bet most people would agree that we can call winter “crock-pot season.” You know … warm, hearty, welcome-home-at-the-end-of-a-long-day soups and chilis and stews.

Our slow cooker recipes have been beyond-popular this winter, and you guys loooooved our recent Top 10 list of crock-pot soups and chilis. We get it – that’s the kind of stuff we want to eat on a frigidly cold winter’s day, too!

But now that spring finally (finally!!!) seems to be lurking around the corner, you might be thinking it’s time to stash that slow cooker for the summer (and start dusting off that grill).

Ah, ah, ah (picture us waggling our fingers at you) … not so fast!

Slow cookers are lifesavers for busy families ALL YEAR! Gretchen has six (six!?!?!?) of them, and we for sure both use ours even through the summer. So great not to have to heat up the kitchen on a hot day or be stuck cooking in the middle of the afternoon when we’d rather be at the farmers’ market or taking the kids to the pool! And for those of you planning some spring break day trips these next couple of weeks … uh huh … you know where we’re going here … your slow cooker will have a lovely meal waiting when you get home, starving after a day of adventure!

So here’s some slow cooker inspiration for you … our top 10 crock-pot chicken recipes from other bloggers across cyberspace.

Just like with all our other top 10 lists, we didn’t just grab the first 10 that came along. Nope – nothing but the best for you, friends (and for our own taste buds!). We really and truly spent hours searching, debating, re-searching and re-debating to select the 10 recipes that are most perfectly THK-ish: healthy, quick and easy … and also so deliciously inviting that we just can’t wait to try them!

So keep those slow cookers humming along, and dinner will be ready in a jiffy!
